October 2008; Dr. Saud Anwar joins a team of experts from United States to work with Department of Homeland Security and The UK Department of Communities and Local Government to reach out to the British Muslim Community about American Muslim communities and integration process. Dr. Anwar met with rehabilitated extremist group members through the UK Department of Communities and Local Government and the DHS. Detailed interviews were held to better understand the process of violent extremism and their rehabilitation process.
