Nov 2009,  Dr. Saud Anwar Co-Chair of AMPI joined in with Azhar Hussain, Vice President for Preventive Diplomacy at the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy (ICRD) and head of the ICRD’s Pakistan Madrasa Project. Mr. Hussain is working in Pakistan and helps rehabilitate madrasas, some of which are occupied by the Taliban or other extremist groups.

Dr. Anwar joined with the Interfaith Council of Westport at the Assumption Church in having this much needed discussion on Madrassa reform in some of the extremist madrassas in Pakistan
